TECS PLC works across four principal infrastructure sectors in Cameroon. Our engineering services are adapted to the specific technical requirements, regulatory environment and funding conditions of each sector.
Road construction and rehabilitation is the largest single category of civil engineering investment in Cameroon. The government’s infrastructure budget allocates significant resources to national roads, rural feeder roads, bridges and drainage works every year, all of which require independent technical oversight to protect public funds and ensure structures are built to standard.
TECS provides control missions, supervision and feasibility studies for road projects of all scales from urban access roads in Bamenda to rural feeder roads serving farming communities. Our engineers verify earthworks, pavement layers, drainage systems, bridge structures and road furniture against approved designs and specifications throughout the construction period.
Government ministries, councils and development organisations regularly commission the construction of schools, health centres, courthouses, administrative offices, customs posts and community facilities across Cameroon. These projects are funded from public budgets and, increasingly, by bilateral and multilateral donors, all of whom require independent technical oversight as a condition of funding.
TECS supervises the construction of institutional and public buildings from foundation to handover. Our engineers check structural work, verify materials conformity, confirm compliance with Cameroon’s building standards and issue progress reports that keep clients and funders fully informed at every stage.
Access to clean water and adequate sanitation remains one of Cameroon’s most pressing development challenges, particularly in rural areas and secondary towns. This gap is actively being addressed through government programmes and projects funded by international organisations including UNICEF, GIZ, AFD and the African Development Bank creating a sustained pipeline of WASH infrastructure projects that require rigorous technical oversight.
TECS supports water supply and sanitation projects at every stage: feasibility studies and site investigations at project inception, control missions during the construction of boreholes, water towers, pipe networks and sanitation facilities, and project management for clients who need a qualified technical representative in the field. Our engineers understand the specific construction conditions and community engagement requirements that WASH projects demand.
Cameroon’s urban centres are growing rapidly. Bamenda, Douala and Yaoundé are all experiencing sustained demand for residential housing, commercial buildings and urban infrastructure upgrades. Private developers, housing cooperatives and municipal authorities are commissioning construction at a pace that requires reliable independent technical oversight to protect investment and ensure structural safety.
TECS works with private developers, municipalities and housing programme managers on urban development projects from site investigations and feasibility studies at project inception, through quantity surveying during tender, to construction supervision and project management during the build. Being based in the North West Region gives TECS a practical advantage for projects in and around Bamenda and neighbouring areas.
